I Said Yes to A Dress!

I've chose dresses in the past for some of life's "important" and fun moments. 

Like for Vacation dinners, School functions and the occasional CMA pre-party...

And of course high school proms....

But choosing a wedding gown felt different. I didn't want to make the decision lightly. I didn't want to do like I did for prom, see a dress on a mannequin and say, "I'll take it!"

I didn't mind taking a chance on a prom dress or worrying if a dress for formal night on a cruise was too short. But I wanted to choose a dress for my wedding that felt right. That felt special. I may not want to be a princess on my wedding day but I totally wanted that fairy-tale moment when saying yes to the dress. 

I can safely say there were actual tears shed, there were butterflies felt, huge smiles and giggles and a lot of excitement from everyone in the room (even other moms!). 

So my news of the day is this. I said yes to a dress and in 8 1/2 months I get to wear it and say, "I do."
