Linking up with Harvesting Kale this week for another dose of "currently..."
Grace is currently.
Listening: to the sounds of a very quiet house. But I've had Ships In The Night by Mat Kearny on repeat for about 2 weeks ... that and the sounds of me typing on this here keyboard and it's my own musical-comedy.
Daydreaming: about the wedding, the house, a published book, a classroom ... I'm in a constant state of daydream. But I think at this very moment I'm in school-mode and this week has been heavily focused on furthering my own education.
Wanting: a Mac desktop or laptop so bad. I love this Dell Studio but she is slowly falling to bits. The volume buttons are getting feistier by the day, the screen is fuzzy by the week, but she's faithful. Hopefully she'll make it another year.
Looking: at my closet and wondering what I'm going to do without it. I can't fit my entire wardrobe into this incredible "California Closet" now, what the hell am I going to do when I have to share one with Justin. Blog buddies, bring on the organizational magic and advice please!
Writing: my statement of purpose for grad school. The passion is there, the "boring" stuff just needs to be smoothed over and sent off to one of my undergrad professors for editing. Whew.
What are y'all currently up to?
O... and for your own enjoyment. Take a listen at this incredible, wonderful, beautiful song and watch this incredible, wonderful, beautiful video.

I want an iMac so badly! So much that I totally forgot about it. Wahhh. Thanks for reminding me ;)
ReplyDeleteUgh - I totally remember struggling to write my statement of purpose for grad school. You're lucky that you have a prof that is willing to review it. Those things can feel like you're taking a total shot in the dark sometimes.

Not going to lie, my new MacBook Pro is magical. I had a laptop for a couple years, which just didn't hold up. Then I was given a very well used Mac laptop, which spoiled me for going back to a PC. The hard drive bit the dust a few weeks ago, and my husband came home from work with a brand new MacBook for me. I was so excited I cried! Of course, I won't be getting presents for my next birthday, anniversary and Christmas. That's okay, though!
ReplyDeleteDo you think it's okay that sometimes I daydream about weddings? I've been married 5 years. That's normal, right?
Okay, 1. TOTALLY NORMAL. I will daydream about weddings forever and ever, I'm sure of it :).
Delete2. Here's the deal, my first laptop was a Mac, so although I am very thankful that my parents got me a new laptop when the time came ... I MISS my MAC! O goodness, when the day comes that I get a new Mac I will faint, cry and melt into a very happy puddle all at the same time :)
