This is a very, very tragic story.
We never expected to experience such cruelty. It was shocking, tragic and hurtful.
But, when we pulled onto the road and saw the rubble and aftermath of the destruction, we knew it wasn't going to be a quick recovery.
The damn garbage man demolished our mailbox.
Remember how happy I was at the thought of having an actual mailbox for the first time in my entire life? Well, not even 3 entire weeks in of owning our own home, mailbox included, and the poor thing gets struck.
It's kind of funny, I admit that. But it's also quite sad. Fortunately, the city is giving her immediate attention.
Happy Monday everyone. Say a little prayer for the mailbox. She needs it.

ReplyDeleteI saw the poor girl on the ground and said, "oh no, Grace's mailbox got runned over" bless her heart! Better the city than some teenager that could've hit it and drove off, though :)
